Safe Chemical Handling
The use of dangerous chemicals has received a lot of public attention, as it is essential for both people and the environment that chemicals are handled properly. Thus it has resulted in changed Danish legal requirements in the field of chemistry, which came into force in July 2019.
For companies that work with dangerous chemistry, the rules entail that the companies must prepare a so-called chemical APV as well as providing effective training and instruction of the employees working with chemistry.
This chemical APV is used for a systematic work environment review and forms the basis for corporate safety and health planning. Read more at at.dk (Danish Working Environment Authority).)
The Danish Working Environment Authority recommends that the companies use the ”STOP” principle (in order) to prevent employees being exposed to dangerous substances and materials. IWAKI can deliver the ’technical solutions’ solving the challenges of the dangerous chemicals.

chemistry handled in the closed cabinets.

Technical Measures
In the Danish Working Environment Authority (DWEA) guide ’Working with substances and materials’ ”(Arbejde med stoffer og materialer)”* it is recommended in the section ’Technical Measures’ to ”encapsulate the dangerous substances or the whole process”. Furthermore DWEA mentions the possibility of ”a workplace redesign”.
IWAKI’s mag-drive pumps are 100% dense and with our complete Systems solutions direct and dangerous contact with the chemical is avoided. This also applies to potential leakages and spillages to the surroundings. Thus, IWAKI can provide effective solutions for both personnel and the environment.
Solutions from IWAKI with pumps, pipes, tanks, etc. are resistant to the current chemistry, and with IWAKI’s vast experience in this specialty area, customers can be assured of always getting the optimal solution.
The solutions are designed to be safe, easy to operate, maintain and clean.
With the IWAKI’s IBC storage unit (picture above)
customers get an easy, quick and safe solution
for IBC tank replacement. A buffer tank ensures
continuous operation during the exchange and
there is no spillage to the surroundings.
