Most IWAKI pumps are used for tasks with aggressive, flammable and toxic fluids. At IWAKI we always take into account eg. the density of the liquid, viscosity and suction conditions at the given liquid temperature.
Example – 1000 liters of hydrochloric acid / min
The following example is based on a customer enquiry for a pump for 1000 liters of hydrochloric acid (HCl ≤38%) per minute with a max. head of about 20 meters.
The pump type / size chosen for the purpose is the MDM50 which manages the task with an 130 mm impeller and a power consumption of app. 7,3 kW. As standard we can deliver a 7,5 kW motor. In this case, there is no reason to choose a more powerful engine, as it will only mean higher operating costs and an increased environmental impact. A smaller engine will not be able to handle the task.
