Mobile solution for CIP task
Flexible unit for cleaning in process plants
A company in the fishing industry chose IWAKI Nordic A/S (Systems) in connection with a demand for a small and mobile device for cleaning various areas in the company’s processing plant. The cleaning tasks could take place with different chemical fluids, and the customer wanted a solution that was flexible in relation to the medium.
The wish was a tank with a capacity of 60-70 liters, a connected pump, and a trolley with wheels and handles. From the customer, mobility was an absolute requirement for the solution as the mobile unit would be used for multiple cleaning processes at many locations in the processing plant (including UV filters and heat exchangers). There was also a requirement for the pump output pressure, as the system should also clean large surfaces.
IWAKI suggested a mobile init including an IWAKI MX250 pump in PP and a 125 liter PE tank mounted on a trolley from Weber Kunststofftechnik
The MX250 pump was selected because of specific demands to capacity and pressure. The PE tank was chosen for the good resistance properties.
For stability reasons, the handle should act as support for the tank that was bolted to the trolley. The pump was also fixed and placed in front of the tank. Start / Stop contact was placed easily accessible on the trolley under the handle. To prevent vibration damage, we chose a flexible connection between tank and pump.
Following the company’s evaluation of design, price and delivery, the mobile CIP device was approved and delivered to the customer.
